Kinda looks like a black edition with IROC sports trim. Hope it comes with the Baja 550Hp twin turbo instead of the 350Hp single turbo

Who wouldn't? The problem is the American Honda Motor Company is long on concepts but
veryshort on execution.
For example, after at least two
decadesof gearheads urging Honda to import the Civic Type R's it was manufacturing in Swindon, England -- cars actually in production -- American Honda is finally, next year, going to do it. (Unhappily, the one finally chosen is absolutely hideous. Oh well . . . ) Thus, IMHO, the likelihood that the company is going to research, engineer, prototype, test and finally produce a Type R truck is zero, absolute zero. We may get "Type R Edition" alloy wheels, matching floor mats and decals, but even that's pushing the envelop! :grin:

WTH? I doubt it will ever happen here's why...
2017 BE = US MSRP $42,870
2018 Type R (different engine w/more hp / suspension package / brake upgrade / body mods versus 'standard versions) = US MSRP $61,520 
I don't see anyone in their right mind spending over $50k on any version of a Ridgeline. So that leaves like 74 ppl who would buy one.
I'm so not holding my breath on this one.

Bingo! They put less engineering than it would take to do this, in the current RL!
I must say tho, that version looks really good. The soft OEM styling lends itself to a sport truck WAY more than a rugged off-road truck....which just comes off looking silly.
The author needs to do a bit more homework tho....the Raptor is NOT a sport truck, it's an off-road monster.

I would be shocked if this happened. The amount of people that would want this and could buy it would be extremely small. They'll leave it to the aftermarket.. Lowered on 22s with bolt on engine modifications. If they build it, I'll park it next to my wife's forester sti, which also doesn't exist (in the US)
* or build it myself, which I'm kind of working on already.

I remember when everybody was thirsting for pics of the yet-to-be-revealed G2 Ridgeline. There were LOTS of click-bait websites, all with the year 2017 in the title, and all written in broken English. This website smells similar...

I would bet they are going the other way..... meaning liftkits from jsport since the engineering is already done, Put the baja engine single ? double ? Turbo also engineering already done.... and you have a performance truck.

If they could figure out the suspension, it could be a Raptor-killer....
It's a big difference between full race suspension on a roll-caged tube race frame vs a streetable suspension on a unibody box.....don't know if they can get too much out of it. Would be sweet, though, especially with lower gearing and/or a crawl mode in the trans logic.

Maybe the pictures will inspire some mod shops to do a special edition, like Hennessey or Callaway versions.

Definite photoshop product and poorly written text. This is common on these sites that are not really legit and just get pad for getting visitors to them.
On the flip side, it is flattering someone is taking an interest in the RL enough to spend time making up a story and a fake (albeit kinda cool looking) concept vehicle.

Almost done with Type R. Not just cosmetic, performance (chip) that works, provider claims 60hp gain and doesn't include intake. Ground effects only remaining parts other than red H f&b (have plan). Compare to Civic Type R?

Not for me but the 00001 is a nice touch. If the motor could handle a super charger then you are talking serious upgrade! adding a total of 200+ HP!? yee ha!

It's can be fun to speculate. But as much as I'd love to get my hands on a 550hp twin-turbo Ridgeline (tho the low-rider configuration definitely ain't my thing) this sounds like the kind of unicorn you'd only ever see at a SEMA convention. Too many reasons this won't happen (as others have already pointed out).
Plus, this website triggers my BS meter big time. Two years and not a whisper of confirmation by a reputable source. Sorry to say I think the concept presented is complete vaporware.

Mugen type R odyssey revealed!
Don't laugh! There's a guy around here with a V8 swapped Odyssey (it's an LS1) with a 6 speed stick. Lowered a touch, nice fat tires, very clean. I was talking to the guy and he said his wife told him that they were getting an Odyssey and the agreement was that he could "modify" it so he'd feel ok driving it. Two years later he's got a 425hp Odyssey with a stick shift - and few TV's for the kiddo's. The dude won parenting by a landslide.
